Lots to see and do - local or farther afield

The Village Inn, Ashwater

The Village Inn, Ashwater - superb food at sensible prices

Ash cottage looks out towards Dartmoor, which is about 30 miles away, over quiet roads.

There are many National Trust properties, within easy reach and a wealth of wonderful pubs and restaurants. We can give you the inside knowledge on where to go for superb Devon value and quality. Eat where the locals eat and you won't be disappointed.

You will be spoilt for choice, if you decide to eat out. The Village Inn at Ashwater is a firm favourite with our guests (just remember not to order a starter, if you want to finish your meal!). If you decide to really splash out, Blagdon Manor is just down the road and you never know who you might bump into there......... Our lips are sealed.

It is no coincidence that so many celebrities choose to live in our area. The road links are good, we respect their privacy, whilst being friendly and the lifestyle is wonderful.
You never know who you might bump into, when out and about.

Roadford Lake and Watersports Centre

Roadford Lake and Watersports Centre

Roadford Lake, about 15 minutes away, on the Devon/Cornwall border is the largest lake for watersports in the South West. At the lake you can enjoy a range of water-based activities including sailing, windsurfing, kayaking and multi-activity days. There is also a licensed cafe on the opposite side of the Lake and a refreshment trailer is open most weekends from Easter to September.

Treat yourself to a Devon Cream tea, at the cafe, or cross the lake on the pleasure boat (new for 2011).
